Clarion Gaming Announces Postponement of iGB Live! 2020 to July 2021

Clarion Gaming announced that iGB Live! 2020, scheduled for 22 to 25 September at RAI in Amsterdam, Netherlands, has been postponed to 2021. Therefore, the event will take place in the same facilities, between 13 and 16 July next year.

The organization decided to move the event to its usual date in July next year, as a result of concerns about the safety of participants due to the new coronavirus.

In recent days, European governments have announced new travel restrictions amid an increase in Covid-19 cases in some locations. The group’s events director, Naomi Barton, spoke on the decision.

“Despite being disappointed, we considered the decision more responsible. We really wanted to make this event for our partners and shareholders. However, with measures beyond our control, we believe that postponement is the right thing to do. Because we cannot guarantee that exhibitors and sponsors can reach the site safely, ”he said.

Naomi added that “if we cannot generate the expected value and return on investment in our events, we will wait until that is possible”.

With the postponement of the physical event, the iGB team announced that it is developing the iGB Network. “The iGB network will have a digital and a physical element, but we will definitely bring the sector together when we can, safely and responsibly. Even physically, where we can,” said the events director.

The online platform will remain open to users with contacts and content. More than 1,500 affiliate marketers and e-gaming professionals have signed up for the network, which will be updated throughout the year.

New date announced by Clarion Gaming will coincide with iGB Affiliate

However, the new date announced by Clarion Gaming will coincide with the launch of the online gaming market in the Netherlands, scheduled for July 2021.

“This means that the next editions of iGB Live! And iGB Affiliate Amsterdam will take place at the same time from now on,” he said.

“Each event will gain much more value as a forum for discussions and contacts, both for market leaders and beginners,” concluded the events director at Clarion Gaming.
