Codere México reported that local authorities have released the partial resumption of activities at the Las Américas Racetrack earlier this month. The racecourse is the only 400 meter active thoroughbred arena in the country.
“We appreciate the patience and resilience of the large community at the Las Américas Racecourse during these months,” said the company in a press release.
“Codere reiterates its commitment to horse racing, even in the difficult circumstances we face,” he added in the official statement.
However, the public will only be able to follow the races through their mobile devices. In this first stage, the return of activities will be held behind closed doors, without the presence of the public.
In addition, disputes will be promoted with the minimum staff possible at all times in order to respect the sanitary measures established both in the Hipódromo Seguro plan, prepared by the company, and in the protocol approved by the Health Protection Agency.
In order to inform the new hygiene and safety rules, Hipódromo de las Américas has released a video for instructional purposes on its official YouTube channel.
