Club Deportivo Guadalajara, known worldwide as Chivas, closed an agreement with EA Sports for the creation of digital content and promotion of brands on social media.

In addition, the Mexican club wants to strengthen its eSports division, which has Beto Avila, a professional player who stood out in the last edition of the eNations Cup.

“We are very excited to sign this new partnership with one of the most important football teams, not only in Mexico, but on the continent,” said Yeray Romera, head of marketing for Latin America at EA Sports.

Romera also commented that the agreement “will undoubtedly boost the growth and penetration of eSports in the country, strengthening the industry. Which will allow us to be closer to the community and continue to inspire the world to play ”.

According to SBC Notícias, the cooperation establishes the use of new forms of interaction aimed at the development of digital content and better immersion experiences for both club fans and all EA Sports FIFA players.

Chivas president Amaury Vergara also spoke about the agreement with the producer of one of the main football simulators. “Important things will happen thanks to this alliance. We have resumed a great relationship with EA Sports and soon our fans will receive good news “.

Chivas joined the list of EA Sports partners in Latin America

After signing the strategic alliance, Chivas joined Pumas and Tigres as partner teams of the company in Mexico, as well as important teams in Latin America such as Independiente, Racing, San Lorenzo, Universidad Católica de Chile, Millonarios and Independiente del Valle.

In addition, EA SPORTS FIFA 21 was released worldwide earlier this month in physical and digital formats for Xbox One and PlayStation 4, with updates for the next generation of consoles.
