Sportradar announced a reorganization of its operations worldwide, making the move to a “more regionalized approach” that will help project the company’s long-term growth.
Beginning January 1, 2021, the new structure will aim to continue the transformation of Sportradar from a leading sports betting data provider into a global technology company.
Carsten Koerl will remain as the group’s CEO, while three regional CEOs will direct operations globally. Arne Rees becomes responsible for North American operations, with Werner Becher overseeing the UK, EMEA (Europe, Middle East and Africa) and Latin America and Eduard Blonk looking after business in Asia – Pacific.
In addition, the company says the reorganization will allow it to further leverage the development of engineering products, operations and infrastructure. The changes will ensure that the business can operate closer to its end markets, allowing it to better serve the needs of its customers and regulators.
Koerl said: “Sportradar is fully committed to providing an unparalleled experience for our customers and partners. Our updated structure will increase our levels of customer intimacy, agility and overall responsiveness, while leveraging our global scale” .
The group’s CEO further stated that “the reorganization is a critical step for the future growth of the business and we will continue to set industry standards ambitiously.”
