Caixa Econômica Federal has been exclusively selling bets to Mega da Virada since last Sunday, 20. The special contest should take place traditionally on December 31, 2020.
According to Caixa, the prize is around 300 million reais this year. Recalling that the bets for the main lottery prize in the country started on November 16 and extend until 5 pm on the last day of the year at lottery agencies and also over the internet.
Since it is a ‘special’ event of Mega-Sena, the Mega da Virada prize is not accumulated. If no bettor guesses the six tens, the amount will be distributed among those who match the five numbers, and so on until there are winners.
Last year, the state bank transferred approximately R $ 304 million to four winners: one from Mato Grosso, one from Santa Catarina and two from São Paulo.
The price of a simple bet at Mega da Virada is R $ 4.50. It is necessary to select the steering wheel in the lotteries or over the internet. On the internet, the bettor must use the Loterias Caixa app, available for iOS and Android systems, or on the website.

For a maximum bet with 15 tens, for the amount of R $ 22,522.50, the probability of getting it right becomes 1 in 10,003, according to Caixa.
