Macau Gaming Society changes its name to SJM Resorts

The Board of SJM Holdings Limited announced that the name of its main subsidiary, Macau Gaming Society, has been changed to SJM Resorts. However, the Chinese name will remain the same. The decision was taken to adequately reflect its position in the market.

“The new name better reflects our leading position in tourism and leisure and our dedication to the development and operation of integrated resorts in Macau, further underlining our continued support for Macau’s role as a world center for tourism and leisure.” stated Daisy Ho, the President and Chief Executive Officer of SJM Holdings Limited.

About SJM Holdings Limited

SJM Holdings Limited is the leading owner, operator and developer of integrated casinos and entertainment resorts located in Macau. Its Macau Gaming Company subsidiary is one of three original concessionaires in Macau, authorized by the Macau Special Administrative Region Government to operate casinos and gaming venues in the region.

As such, SJM owns and operates the Grand Lisboa hotel and casino, as well as 18 other casinos located in prime locations on the Macau Peninsula and Taipa. In addition, the company’s operations serve a large number of customers, with VIP gaming tables, slot machines and hospitality services, including fine and casual dining and luxury accommodations.

SJM completed the construction of the Grand Lisboa Palace, the integrated resort in Cotai, which is currently in the final inspection phase. The Grand Lisboa Palace will have a total of 1,900 rooms and suites in three towers: the Grand Lisboa Palace Macau, the Palazzo Versace Macau and the KARL LAGERFELD.

The development will also have specific environments for meetings and conferences of different sizes, restaurants, stores, as well as areas for the entertainment of customers and a casino.
