DraftKings has been chosen as the official betting operator for The Northern Trust and World Golf Championships-FedEx St. Jude Invitational. As part of the agreement, DraftKings will have hospitality spaces at both golf tournaments, called the ‘DraftKings House’.
DraftKings’ two special seats will be open to the public; there will also be televisions, phone chargers and free Wi-Fi access available to visitors. To gain access, fans can purchase a daily ticket to the event, which will cost $30 on Wednesday, $60 on Thursday and Friday, and $70 on the weekend.
DraftKings Executive Director Darrell Smith said: “When the state of Tennessee legalized sports betting last November, it opened the door to a host of new business opportunities in the sports industry.”
Smith added, “With the existing relationship between the DraftKings and the PGA Tour, integrating them into the Memphis market at the WGC-FedEx St. Jude Invitational was an easy decision. We are thrilled to be one of the first events on the PGA Tour to offer an audience venue in this category.”
Also according to the executive director, this “sponsorship adds another onsite experience that caters to a variety of fans and we look forward to debuting as we welcome the world’s best golfers back to Memphis.”
Ezra Kucharz, DraftKings Business Director, concluded: “DraftKings is proud to evolve and expand our presence in the golf industry, continuing to expand our existing relationship with the PGA Tour. We look forward to providing fans with an unparalleled experience at Liberty National and TPC Southwind.”
