Esports Technologies has filed a provisional patent to use artificial intelligence (AI) technology to generate new ODD models for eSports betting algorithm. The AI-based odds model would be used for electronic sports tournaments – prior to the start of competition as well as during the event.
The ODD generation will feature quantitative research methods for a range of eSports matches and tournament types, covering a variety of betting markets and allowing customers to place bets at different times in a match or championship.
The possible bets offered include bets on which teams will be in the top three places in a competition, which teams will not be in the top five positions or the prediction of which round a team will reach.
“I am extremely proud of our team, which continues to develop potential industry-leading data solutions,” said Bart Barden, COO of Esports Technologies.
Barden continued: “Taking advantage of artificial intelligence to create the technology for this next generation betting tool demonstrates our commitment to innovation and our focus on the needs of enthusiasts and punters everywhere. We continue to advance and innovate the eSports betting experience for customers”.
In June of this year, Esports Technology filed a patent covering a proprietary live view technology, with the aim of integrating eSports and sports betting into streaming platforms such as Facebook Gaming, Hulu, Twitch and YouTube.
Esports Technologies expands commitment to anti-corruption actions
The company – which became the first sports betting system provider to register with the US NASDAQ – also reinforced its commitment to anti-corruption activities this year, signing a contract led by the Esports Integrity Commission (ESIC).
