GIG achieves ISO 27001 recertification for four of its main products

Gaming Innovation Group Inc. (GiG) has received ISO 27001 recertification for four of its flagship products, including its award-winning platform (PAM), front-end and CMS solutions, sports betting and dice. In addition, the company obtained certification for its headquarters in Malta (GiG Beach) and its offices in Spain and Latvia.

ISO 27001 is one of the few standards that uses a top-down approach based on risk assessment to identify requirements and specifications for the most comprehensive information security management system (ISMS).

Upon passing this year’s recertification audit, GiG, subject to an annual supervisory audit, will remain certified for another three years. Regulatory bodies have begun to accept ISO 27001 as an attestation to an organization’s information security management system.

This allows GiG to demonstrate its commitment to information security, through certification for each product on its platform. By operating in regulatory compliance, the company gives its teams more time to focus on further growing its product portfolio, adding value to its partners and its players.

Director of GiG celebrates obtaining certification

Furthermore, having the certification in their offices allows the platform GiG team to work in all locations, while ensuring that there is no violation of any of the ISO certification rules of conduct.

Diane Abela, GiG’s Director of Information Security, said: “At GiG, we continue to treat digital security as a priority, keeping our information security processes and controls to a very high standard.”

Abela concluded: “The ISO 27001 standard requires continuous improvement, year after year, and obtaining our recertification for another three years reaffirms our continuous improvement and investment in information security for our partners and regulators”.
