December 1st and 2nd will be important to help define the future of sports betting, iGaming, affiliates and other aspects of the sector in Brazil. This is because these will be the dates of the first edition of the Brazilian iGaming Summit (BiS) – The iGaming Intelligence Made in Brazil – which will take place in the city of São Paulo.
The conference will be the only one in the sector to take place in face-to-face format in the country, this year. The purpose of the event is to provide updated and relevant information on the progress of regulations in the country, in addition to the scope of the most different topics related to betting.
The place selected for BiS is Espaço Boulevard JK, International Plaza Building, located in São Paulo. The event will offer space to discuss the role of brand ambassadors entering the country, digital security, new payment methods, responsible gaming and a panel focused on the membership market.
Therefore, the company Super Afiliados has already confirmed its participation in this first edition and the iGaming Brazil team spoke exclusively with Pedro Trindade, affiliate manager of Super Afiliados, who is optimistic about the event and stressed the importance: “The Brazil, without a doubt, is the focus of the game world for the coming years. So, holding this event is of fundamental importance so that the next steps for the industry in Brazil are understood and defined”.
In addition, Trindade highlighted how important it is to meet again with partners (in person) after two years of the pandemic: “I see it as an opportunity to do a lot of business and deepen relationships, the face-to-face event gives attendees greater security to negotiate and nothing better than having coffee with business partners to deepen relationships. In addition to the lectures that are always very enlightening and provide fundamental debates”.
Pedro Trindade evaluates the structuring of the betting market in Brazil
Since 2018, the global betting industry has been following the progress of the country’s regulatory process with great expectations. In Pedro Trindade’s view, progress “is slow, there is resistance from part of the political class, but the law has given a deadline and this deadline is expired, so I believe that this process should move more quickly.”
The Affiliate Manager of Super Afiliados also stated that this first edition tends to cooperate in the restructuring of national regulations. “BiS brings together all players involved with regulation, we will have politicians, operators, and players present, I believe that this can make the pains and each player understood and that it makes better regulation. I see it as a unique opportunity for us to have this discussion and interaction between everyone involved”, he concluded.
