Kings Entertainment reported on Tuesday that its lottery business had a “solid performance” during the month of March.

The company is an international provider of online services for lottery, casino and sports betting, and is the parent company of global online gaming brands LottoKings and WinTrillions.

Company experts said highlights of operations in the recently completed month included new registrations, growth in customer deposits and continued casino growth.

Unlike traditional sports and casino businesses, which fluctuate seasonally, Kings Entertainment noted that the lottery industry is heavily reliant on the size of the jackpot for revenue.

Despite the dampening effect of historically low jackpots, the company said its number of active players increased by 15% in the month of March compared to the previous month.

New depositors also continued to join Kings Entertainment’s top brands: LottoKings and WinTrillions, with that number jumping 72% month-on-month.

“We are delighted that we were able to continue to grow our active customer base so significantly in March,” said Steve Budin, CEO of Kings Entertainment, in a statement. “Building, growing and maintaining this active player base is key to the health of any gaming operation.”

The fact that Kings Entertainment has been able to continue to acquire and retain customers without the encouragement of big jackpots is “a testament to the strength” of its brands, Budin said.

“We remain focused on organic growth and CRM strategies to build our foundation, and we also plan to strategically deploy paid marketing programs when jackpot sizes justify investing in promotional campaigns,” Budin concluded.
