Hard Rock International to launch mobile sports betting in Virginia

Hard Rock International has announced that it will expand the reach of its sportsbook to Virginia, launching its mobile product and opening a retail facility at its new casino in the state.

The operator’s ‘Hard Rock Digital’ arm has launched a mobile sports betting portfolio in Virginia, with players in the state able to place bets on a range of events.

Virginia becomes the second US state where Hard Rock has released its updated mobile sports betting app, following an initial launch in Arizona last month through a partnership with Navajo Nation Gaming Enterprise.

The latest version of the sports betting app allows users to bet live on a wider range of sports, offers the option of same-game betting, includes a selection of new reward features and has additional deposit methods.

In addition to the app, a retail sports betting facility will be installed at the new Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Bristol, home to the land-based casino.

Scheduled to open in July of this year and expected to create more than 600 new jobs, the Hard Rock Bristol casino will be the first land-based casino to open in Virginia, after the Virginia Lottery Board granted an operator license last month.
