Nuvei will support Betsson-owned online sportsbook Betsafe, which made its US debut earlier this year in Colorado.

Betsson is looking to leverage Nuvei’s products to bolster its position in the state, where Betsafe went live in March.

Colorado punters will be able to immediately deposit money from their bank accounts into their Betsafe wallets via Nuvei’s Instant Bank Transfer product. On the other hand, players will also be able to make instant withdrawals.

“We are committed to providing our players with the best gaming experience on the market and payments play a key role in realizing this vision,” said Betsson Managing Director for the United States, Marina Bogard.

“The integration of Nuvei Instant Bank Transfer into our cashier not only gives our players more choice as to their preferred deposit method, but also allows them to request real-time payments that we know they require.”

Betsafe arrived in Colorado, and by extension the US, on March 29. This launch took place next to an office opened by Betsson in downtown Denver, primarily to support regional B2B operations.

By integrating Nuvei payments technology, Betsson joins major American sports betting brands such as DraftKings, FanDuel and BetMGM, all of whom are partnering with the provider.

Philip Fayer, President and CEO of Nuvei, commented: “Betsson has a global reputation as a leader in the gaming industry, which is why we are excited to support them as they expand their presence following a successful launch on American market”.

“Instant, convenient deposits, transfers and real-time payments are absolutely essential to meet US players’ demands of their sports betting platforms.”

He added: “As early as 2022 we have partnered with some of the most significant operators in the exciting US gambling landscape as it develops at pace, and Betsson certainly falls into that category.”
