Athletico is the great champion of the e-Brasileirão PRO 2022! Hurricane won the first edition of the eFootball PRO Evolution Soccer championship aimed exclusively at pro players. The finals were played at GamePlay Arena at Rock in Rio, in Rio de Janeiro (RJ).
The decision was made between Athletico Paranaense and Vasco da Gama. With three players on each side, the teams dueled in six games to define the champion. In the sum of the matches, better for Hurricane, which won four games and had an aggregate score of 17 to 14. The champion team received a prize of R$ 6 thousand and received, on stage, the trophies from the CBF, Julio Avellar.
The e-Brasileirão was presented by streamer Julieta and digital influencer Julia Malak. The two took the stage after a performance by DJ Cereja, which raised the audience at Rock in Rio’s GamePlay Arena. Later, it was the duo’s turn to announce the e-Brasileirão broadcasting teams.
In GamePlay Arena, the official team for the disputes was composed by the Narrator Warrior and Arthur, the Pest. They had the special participation of former referee Arnaldo Cezar Coelho, who marked an era in football broadcasts on Brazilian TV. Direct from the Streaming zone, Allan Rodrigues, from the Intern channel, broadcast the competition on Twitch.
“The CBF invited me and I came running, because it’s a sport that kids love. My son used to play a lot, now my grandson is playing. I don’t know how to play. But I keep commenting in a very calm way, so that the fans understand. And it’s very cool, because the plays are beautiful, the boys who play are professionals and are references for many young people who want to live from it. Because it’s a new activity in world football”, said Arnaldo Cezar Coelho to CBF TV.
Group stage
After 16 games on the first day, the e-Brasileirão PRO reached the decisive matches of the group stage. The first clashes were between Athletico Paranaense and CRB and Vasco and CSA. Hurricane and Cruzmaltino, who were already in the lead, didn’t lose a single match and guaranteed the classification in advance for the grand final.
The sixth and final round featured duels between Athletico Paranaense and CSA and Vasco and CRB. The matches, however, did not change the classifieds for the decision, and the two Alagoas teams said goodbye to the competition.
Decision of the e-Brasileirão PRO 2022
The final started with Athletico Paranaense dominating. With the second best campaign in the first phase, Hurricane won two games in the three-match round that opened the decision. The results left Athletico with the advantage of equality in the return clashes.
In the lead, the Hurricane was confirming the favoritism to take the title. With the end of the first two games, the champion’s cry began to take shape. In the end, the team from Paraná surpassed the Carioca by 13 to 4 in points and 17 to 14 in goals.
