The International Betting Integrity Association (IBIA) has announced that industry accreditation related to the quality of data collection and distribution in eSports betting has been given to GRID Esports, a gaming data platform and a long-time partner of renowned gaming companies. like Riot Games, Krafton, WePlay or BLAST.
GRID recognition was awarded after successfully completing the independent audit conducted by eCOGRA, an organization specializing in testing, inspection and certification of online gaming software and systems.
Khalid Ali, CEO of IBIA, said, “This is an important milestone in the evolution of data standards accreditation, with GRID being the first eSports-focused data company to achieve accreditation.”
“It recognizes a high level of integrity in the compilation and distribution of eSports data by GRID, which in turn provides an important assurance to those who wish to utilize this data that it is of a high level of reliability and accuracy. It is essential that consumers have confidence in the integrity of the product and the data supply chain that creates that product,” added Ali.
Accredited companies must comply with IBIA standards to ensure high levels of accuracy and transparency. The standards cover three main areas: staff verification and training, data collection processes, and data integrity and reporting.
Mikael Westerling, CSO at GRID Esports, commented: “GRID was created with the conviction that official data assets should be standard in games and eSports. Over the past four years, we have been building and improving our technology to ensure that the quality of our services, the reliability of the data and the level of support we offer our partners enable the sustainable growth of the industry we are passionate about.”
“We are proud of what we have achieved so far and the achievement of IBIA accreditation is a testament to our team’s hard work and great motivation to strive for excellence,” added Westerling.
