Robert Abela: Prime Minister of Malta
Since 2020, Robert Abela, a Maltese politician and lawyer, has held the positions of Prime Minister of Malta and leader of the Labor Party. He was elected to Parliament in 2017 and is the son of former President George Abela. At age 40, he won his first election to the Maltese Parliament after running in the sixth district, which includes Siggiewi, Luqa and Qormi. In addition, it provided legal advice to Prime Minister Joseph Muscat, which enabled him to participate in Council of Ministers meetings.
Carl Brincat: CEO of Malta Gaming Authority
Carl Brincat is the CEO of the Malta Gaming Authority. Brincat, a lawyer by profession, joined the MGA legal team in 2014. He participated in the legislative reform of Malta’s gaming sector, which resulted in the establishment of a new regulatory framework. He was a top candidate to replace Heathcliff Farrugia because of his connections in government and his significant involvement in the new gaming regulatory framework as one of the key writers.
Stephen Henna: Forensic Accountant at ESIC
Stephen Henna is a forensic accountant with extensive experience and legal training. In 2016, he established the Corporate Advantage Group. Since then, he has successfully completed a series of multi-million dollar forensic projects. The commission and its members will benefit from Stephen’s experience in forensics, technology and growth strategy as director of global strategy and partnerships at ESIC.
Enrico Bradamante: Founder of iGen
Enrico Bradamante, who has had a long corporate career, formed iGEN, a trade organization representing the iGaming industry in Malta. He is now a businessman and a public relations representative. Enrico has extensive experience in the automotive, IT software, IT hardware, consumer electronics and gaming industries.
This experience includes Sales and Marketing, Strategy, General P&L Management, B2B and B2C, Online and Retail. He started working with NetEnt in 2012 and was responsible for the company’s revenue growth until he resigned as Managing Director of NetEnt Malta Ltd. in 2018.
Alex Bornyakov: Deputy Minister of Digital Transformation of Ukraine in the development of the IT industry
Alex Bornyakov was appointed Deputy Minister of Digital Transformation in October 2019. Since then, he has been working to develop the Ukrainian IT sector and make it legal for domestic and foreign groups to establish their companies in Ukraine. He has more than ten years of experience in the field of IT management and has founded a number of successful companies and startup incubators, such as American video monetization platform Adtelligent and outsourcing company Intersog, which was listed in the top five. Clutch apps developers in Chicago and the top ten employers in Odessa.
He was named Best CEO/COO – IT BIZ AWARDS 2015 in 2015, and in 2016 he was featured among Ukraine’s Top 25 Pioneer Business Executives. He holds an MPA and an MBA from the University of New Brunswick (Columbia University).
Ron Segev: Founding Partner of Segev LLP
Ron Segev is a founding partner of Segev LLP, a complete solutions business organization specializing in technology, commercial, regulatory, compliance, mergers and acquisitions, finance and securities law. Segev LLP is internationally known as a prominent gaming and betting law firm. Gaming practice at Segev LLP is a subset of the company’s larger interactive entertainment practice area, which also provides legal services to eSports organizations, studios, publishers and other general businesses.
Javier Silvania: Minister of Finance of Curaçao
Javier Fransisco Antonio Silvania heads the Curaçao Ministry of Finance. He is confident that the island’s gaming sector can develop into a significant new economic component. Working closely with Curaçao’s land-based casino industry regulator, the licensing authority for all lotteries, charity bingo, charity, and the licensing authority and supervisor for online gaming, Silviana plays a significant role. He also assists in monitoring the Curaçao gaming industry’s adherence to rules and legislation around combating money laundering and preventing the financing of terrorism.
James Baldacchino: Head of the Malta Gaming Authority’s legal and enforcement department
The Malta Gaming Authority’s head of law and enforcement is James Baldacchino. Baldacchino will give participants a summary of the legal framework that, in terms of the game, controls key AML and MLRO responsibilities. He oversees the legal division and provides legal assistance and advice to MGA entities. Your primary responsibility is to ensure that current rules and regulations are followed.
Pierre Lindh: Co-founder of iGaming NEXT
Pierre Lindh co-founded iGaming NEXT, a prominent platform, after starting his career at iGaming at age 17, during the early stages of the online poker boom. Intent on connecting people and advancing the industry, Lindh launched iGaming Next to encourage thought leadership and knowledge sharing. These values are rooted in the iGaming NEXT organization, whose mission is to be a force for good in the iGaming industry.
Pontus Lindwall: CEO and Chairman of the Betsson Group
Pontus Lindwall is the CEO and President of the Betsson Group. In addition, Lindwall serves on the boards of many Betsson Group companies, as well as Net Entertainment, Nya Solporten Fastighets AB, Mostphotos AB and others. He has worked with the Betsson Group since 1991 and is the founder of Net Entertainment (NetEnt) as well as the CEO and President of Cherryföretagen. He has extensive experience in the gaming industry, both offline and online. Lindwall holds a master’s degree in engineering from the Royal Institute of Technology (KTH) in Stockholm.
