Exclusive: Rafael Marcondes, from Rei do Pitaco, waiting for the Legal Framework

The Fantasy Games Legal Framework vote is in the Senate and is expected to be voted on this week. And to comment on this matter, Rafael Marcheti, president of the Brazilian Association of Fantasy Sports and Legal Director of Rei do Pitaco spoke exclusively with iGaming Brazil.

Bill 2796/21 regulates the manufacture, import, sale and development of electronic games in the country.

“The electronic games sector is one of the fastest growing segments of the entertainment industry in the world today”, according to the author of the proposal, Deputy Kim Kataguiri (DEM-SP).

The project defines the electronic game as “software executable on microcomputers or dedicated consoles (video games) in which the user controls the action and interacts with the interface (game)”.

The proposal expressly excludes slot machines or other similar games of chance from the definition.

The iGaming Barzil portal interviewed Rafael Marchetti, Legal Director of Rei do Pitaco, one of the largest and most representative Fantasy Games companies in Brazil.

In addition to Fantasy Games, the approval of the Legal Framework regulates companies in the field that operate in segments such as arcade, video games and PC, among others, generating huge development prospects for the sector.

In the interview he analyzes the benefits of passing the law in general.
