Scout Gaming Group launches a product with Cartola Express aimed at the Brazilian market

Scout Gaming Group launched with Globo’s Cartola Express a fully localized fantasy sports product for the Brazilian market.

Globo is a major Brazilian television conglomerate and one of the world’s largest media companies, owning and operating multiple television and pay-per-view stations, production studios and a worldwide content distribution network.

Cartola has been operating in the real money market and free-to-play fantasy sports operations for the past few years, with its fantasy game attracting over 10 million users. This year, Cartola Express switched its real money operation to Scout Gaming Group and officially launched before the beginning of Série A of the Brazilian Championship, this April.

The launch concluded a very successful three-month integration and delivery period, which included fully optimized mobile and desktop editions, localization for the Brazilian market, bespoke UI, UX and branding, and the provision of a wide range of cash real daily, weekly and monthly fantasy game formats based on various Brazilian football leagues and competitions, all delivered on time. Content from other sports and leagues is also planned.

Cartola Express adopted flexible architecture from Scout Gaming Group

Cartola utilized Scout Gaming Group’s flexible technical architecture, extensive B2B support and account management services to deploy and operate custom game formats, mechanics and user journeys geared towards the needs and preferences of Brazilians.

The two companies are working together to fully capitalize on the huge popularity of fantasy sports in Brazil. Scout product resources will be used to increase engagement and retention with Cartola’s sizeable existing and target audience.

Araz Heydariyehzadeh, Chief Commercial Officer of Scout Gaming Group said: “A delivery of this size, scope and ambition would be a challenge for anyone and we are very proud of both teams for an outstanding on-spec and on-time delivery.”

“This opens the door to some incredible opportunities for this partnership going forward and we are delighted to be working with a fantastic and prestigious organization like Globo and Cartola Express who share our vision and enthusiasm for everyday fantasy sports and believe in our ability to help them dominate and fulfill their ambitions in this highly attractive market.”

Alessandra Catran Lewit, Director of Cartola Express said: “Working with Scout Gaming Group has allowed us to launch a more intuitive and user-friendly platform in record time. With this new platform, we will offer various sporting events and exciting new game formats to the end user. These improvements are decisive for scaling the product and the results of the first rounds of Series A prove that we are on the right path”.
