SOFTSWISS, a global technology company with over 15 years of experience in iGaming, reports that its managed services anti-fraud team helped customers save around €6 million in the first half of 2024.
SOFTSWISS Anti-Fraud Team
This result highlights a one-third reduction in value at risk compared to last year’s figures. Thus, by using advanced tools and methodologies to effectively mitigate fraud attempts, including bypassing restrictions and violating terms, the team helps operators create a safer operating environment.
In the first half of the year, the anti-fraud team handled around 54,000 tasks, including operator and verification requests, fraud notifications and responsible gaming. The number of these requests was 8.5% lower than in the first half of 2023.
Ilya Nesterov, Anti-Fraud Team Leader, shares: “The most common types of fraud our team deals with are bonus abuse, identity theft, and document forgery.
These occurrences represent almost 90% of all fraud cases. Therefore, we are pleased to see that the number of carrier requests and fraud reports has decreased slightly this year. This trend also testifies to a more responsible attitude on the part of players.”
Simultaneously, the number of player complaints lodged with regulatory bodies or on industry forums has increased. It was 12.4% compared to the previous year, reaching 118 in the first six months of 2024.
But, thanks to SOFTSWISS‘ extensive experience in analyzing these cases, the operators were able to resolve the problems, saving their reputation and almost 250 thousand euros.
