The Amapaense Football Federation (FAF) has just announced the renewal of its partnership with Sportradar, a global company specializing in sports integrity, for the 2025 season.
The new agreement will be expanded to act on two fundamental axes: the education of athletes and the rigorous monitoring of local competitions.
Combating game manipulation
All Amapazão Series A and B athletes will participate in a mandatory course, certified by Sportradar, which aims to train them on how match-fixing works, the risks of punishment and the means of reporting possible irregularities.
The initiative seeks to increase player awareness and protect the integrity of Amapá football.
The second axis of the partnership focuses on improving the monitoring of matches, therefore, there will be an investment of around 2 thousand euros to make the process more rigid.
In addition, Sportradar will start to carry out preliminary projections of matches that may be at risk of manipulation, using sophisticated Artificial Intelligence (AI) models and data analysis algorithms.
The new deal includes access to Sportradar’s Premium package. This service offers detailed reports, pre-game and live monitoring, as well as artificial intelligence to identify suspected manipulation in real time.
The methodology applied by the company is academically validated by the University of Liverpool and recognized as evidence of manipulation by the Court of Arbitration for Sport.
Partnership with local justice entities
With the new monitoring system, the FAF will work in direct collaboration with the Public Ministry, the Public Security Secretariat, the Court of Sports Justice (TJD) and, if necessary, the Superior Court of Sports Justice (STJD), reinforcing the fight to fraud in sport.
Therefore, the new package offered by Sportradar to the sporting entity includes a series of essential services for the integrity of competitions, such as:
- Annual reports from the UFDS (Universal Fraud Detection System);
- Real-time monitoring, during and before games;
- Immediate notifications about suspected manipulation;
- Support from a professional specialized in integrity;
- 24/7 coverage.
