Palmeiras and Sportingbet are getting closer to the official announcement of a master sponsorship valid for four years. The parties are agreeing on the final details before signing the contract, which should yield a fixed R$100 million per season.

According to Verdão’s sporting performance, this amount could jump to R$150 million in a single year. In addition, the agreement also defines the increase in the fixed amount according to Brazil’s inflation rates.

Details of the future partnership between Palmeiras and Sportingbet

However, the agreement covers both the women’s and men’s teams. In other words, it is a single contract, with amounts transferred to the budgets of both teams. There is no predetermined percentage distribution for each department.

Currently, Palmeiras pockets approximately R$ 99.5 million in the sum of the master sponsorship of men’s and women’s fixed-shirts, with exclusivity for the Crefisa and FAM brands in men’s shirts.

In other words, the change will be for a similar amount, however, for a single property: central space on both shirts and without exclusivity.

For men, it costs R$ 81 million annually, for the use of brands on the central part, shoulder blades, sleeves, lower hem, upper and lower hem on the back, shorts/shorts and socks, in addition to space on the base uniform.

The Palestrinas have the Crefisa and FAM brands on the shoulder blade, Palmeiras Pay on the sleeves and Esportes da Sorte as the master in the center, for R$ 18.5 million.

However, the relationship with the bookmaker ends in December. Remembering that the bookmaker became a sponsor of Corinthians in the middle of this year.

Other properties of the Verdão shirt

Without exclusivity with the future master sponsor, Verdão articulates other partnerships for its uniform aiming to raise R$150 million in total.

According to GE, the club is negotiating the combination of space in the professional men’s uniform and youth categories, with the intention of increasing numbers.

This is because Sportingbet, a bookmaker, cannot have the brand on base shirts. Industry regulations prohibit advertising by betting companies in categories below professional.

Negotiations for these other parts of the uniform have already started, and president Leila Pereira intends to finalize these agreements during the 2024 season.
