Dafabet announced the extension of its contract as front-of-shirt sponsor of Celtic FC, Scotland, for another three years.
With this, Dafabet became the longest-running shirt sponsor in the club’s history. At the end of the new agreement, the partnership will last 12 years, since its debut in the uniform in the 2016/17 season. Before that, in 2015, Dafabet had already become the team’s international betting partner.
In addition to Celtic, Dafabet signed other relevant partnerships. In the Premier League, it sponsored AFC Bournemouth for two years, ending the contract last season. Outside of football, the betting company also agreed a three-year deal with Cricket South Africa in August, as well as collaborating with Oddin.gg.

John Cruces, head of sponsorship at Dafabet, said: “We are delighted to extend our partnership with Celtic FC. Being the longest partner of such an iconic and globally recognized shirt is a proud moment. To think that it was in the 2016/17 season, an invincible season, that we were the first in the shirt is a bit surreal.”
“The measure of success the club had during our partnership was incredible! As always, we wish the club the best and hope to see more records broken and achieve common goals.”
Celtic CEO Michael Nicholson also commented: “Dafabet has been a hugely important partnership of the club for so many years and we are delighted to agree this new extension. It’s a partnership that also declared a real and meaningful commitment to our charity and community, something we greatly appreciate.”
“It is through the club’s strong fundamentals that we continue to be able to attract and deliver such quality partnerships and through agreements such as the one we announced today, we are able to look forward with confidence. We thank Dafabet for their continued commitment to Celtic.”
