The Brazilian Company for Supporting Compulsive Disorder (EBAC) has been nominated to compete for awards in three categories at the BiS Awards 2025. The event will be part of the BiS SiGMA Americas program, at the Transamerica Expo Center, in São Paulo, between April 7th and 10th.
The company, which will also participate in the fair, competes in the categories of “Best Responsible Gaming Initiative”, “Best Action to Combat Gambling Addiction” and “Rising Star of the Year”.
Responsible Gaming Initiative
The nomination in the “Best Responsible Gaming Initiative” category is due to the creation of an effective protocol. It acts directly with the actions required by Ordinance No. 1,231/2024 – Responsible Gaming, developed by the Prizes and Betting Secretariat of the Ministry of Finance.
Among the protocol’s tasks is to assist in the reception of compulsive gamblers. This action is mandatory, in addition to reviewing the Compliance of partner companies.
Ricardo Magri, an iGaming business development specialist and executive director of EBAC, explains: “All the controls that betting platforms need to implement, all compliance with the ordinance, implementation of questionnaires, self-assessment, methodology for classifying the gambler’s risk, whether the degree of compulsiveness is high or low, we offer all of this when they hire us.”
Compulsafe Seal and Fight Against Gambling Disorder
The creation of the Compulsafe Seal guaranteed EBAC a nomination in the category “Best Action to Combat Gambling Disorder”. The Compulsafe Seal is a psychoeducation program for gamblers with critical levels of compulsiveness or in a risk group.
Cristiano Costa, psychologist and knowledge director at EBAC, says: “The gambler begins with psychological support procedures until screening and referral to participate in a psychoeducational program lasting up to eight weeks.
Both in immediate care and in the psychoeducational program, the gambler will have access to technical information and quality group experiences to deal with gambling disorders.”
Companies such as the NSX Group brands (Betnacional and Mr. Jack.bet) have joined the program. In addition to them, Grupo Esportes da Sorte (Esportes da Sorte and Onabet), Grupo Ana Gaming (7K, Cassino and Vera), Casa de Apostas, Betsul, Alfa and Multibet are also part of the program.
Rising Star of the Year
Furthermore, EBAC, founded in 2022, is also competing in the “Rising Star of the Year” category. This award recognizes companies that have helped to promote and revolutionize the market with their actions in the last year.
Voting and Participation in BiS SiGMA Americas

BiS SiGMA Americas, in its fifth edition, is the main meeting of companies and professionals in the igaming and sports betting sector in Brazil. Experts and large companies come together to explore advances in technology and strategies, in addition to expanding networking.
EBAC will also contribute with knowledge at the fair. The company will participate in two panels on Responsible Gaming. Ricardo Magri will moderate the debate on “Misinformation and Myths: Educating the Public about Responsible Gaming”. Cristiano Costa will moderate the panel “Responsible Gaming: Inspiring Stories in the Fight Against Gambling Addiction”.
