Flamengo announced a new product for its fans in its last game. The team debuted the Flabet brand in the most valuable space on its uniform, in the 2-1 defeat to Central Córdoba (ARG), in the 2nd round of the Libertadores group stage.
The betting platform is a license of the Rio de Janeiro club’s brand in an operation conducted by Pixbet, a company that previously occupied this space on the red-black shirt.
In fact, the brand did not make its debut. Flabet first appeared in 2024, when the agreement between the betting company and Flamengo’s board of directors was reached. Pixbet used the right to explore up to three different brands when paying for the license to operate in Brazil. In addition to Pixbet and Flabet, the company also owns Bet da Sorte.
The announcement was made moments before the match, in a video published by Flamengo and Flabet on social media. The announcement featured a special appearance by singer Wesley Safadão, brand ambassador and fan of the Rio de Janeiro club.
“Hello, nation! I’m here as the new ambassador for Flabet, which is now the master sponsor of Flamengo’s men’s professional football team. Safadão is in the area,” said the artist.
Flabet appeared on Flamengo’s shirt in the Supercopa Rei
In the Supercopa Rei competition, Flabet was also included in the main space on the Rio de Janeiro club’s shirt. On that occasion, Flamengo (winner of the Copa do Brasil) faced Botafogo (current Brazilian champion) in the official opening of the 2025 season. The red-black team won the match 3-1, taking the title.
According to an article in Máquina do Esporte, Flamengo is entitled to a fixed amount and an additional share depending on the business promoted by Flabet. In return, Pixbet benefits not only from the visibility on the shirt of one of the giants of national football, but also from the activations on the team’s social platforms.
