BiS SiGMA Americas took place once again in the financial heart of Brazil — the city of São Paulo. This particular dynamic of the country’s largest metropolis was highlighted by Marco Pequeno, from Amusnet, in an interview given during the event, held between April 8 and 10.
“São Paulo is where everything happens, there is a lot of business. Many clients are talking to us and expectations are very high. We are ready to serve the Brazilian market, and the intention here is to make a decision,” he said.
Amusnet in the Brazilian physical market
Pequeno also stressed that he is anxiously awaiting the approval of the Casinos PL in the Federal Senate.
“We have four models of machines and we will adapt to the regulations, but everything is ready. We already have machines being produced for other markets and we will operate in the Brazilian physical market. Our machines are pure casino machines, so we need approval of PL 442/1991.”
According to the Amusnet representative, the expectation is that the proposal will be voted on this year, with implementation scheduled for 2026. However, Marco Pequeno revealed short-term plans for the company.
“With the approval, we will attack the physical market. But there are other ways to operate, such as with the GLI 14 certification for scratch cards and VLTs. This is also a possibility. We will adapt our games to GLI 14 to be able to participate in this market immediately,” he concluded.
