“I think Brazil is a country of great opportunities. For Flashscore, this is our best market in the world. We are a global company and I think Brazil is a promising land. We would like to expand our news production and multimedia resources here,” he said.

Last year alone, the company recorded around 25 million downloads. “We have the reach and we are popular with our users. Brazil, as the country of football, and we are focusing on football. It is a natural connection,” he said.

Sports coverage and the Club World Cup

Asked about the company’s plans, Záruba highlighted the goal of making the app number 1. “Where fans will see the results, but also all the context around them in terms of statistics, visual statistics, previews and other types of content”.

In addition, he said that Flashscore is investing in short content, such as “interesting interviews with important people in the sports field. In the case of football, not only players, but also coaches”.
