The Sports Summit, the biggest sports event in Latin America, is coming to São Paulo on the 25th, 26th and 27th of April, to Pacaembu, with more than 45 sports organizations and 60 countries participating. To learn more about this great meeting, we spoke with Fernando Young, CEO of Sports Summit and organizer.

After two events held, one in Mexico and another in Uruguay, the Sports Summit arrives in São Paulo. For Fernando Young, the Sports Summit has the perfect format and fits in the main economic center of Brazil. “It will be a great event for all of Latin America”.

According to Young, the event promises to bring together companies, executives, confederations and clubs, as well as athletes, former athletes and sports industry enthusiasts from more than 50 countries at the Pacaembu Pavilion, located in the west zone of the capital.

Originally scheduled for 2022, the Sports Summit had to be postponed in the face of the worsening Covid-19 pandemic. In 2023, it will have the support of the Tourism Office of the City of São Paulo.

The meetings in Mexico and Uruguay were attended by personalities such as Ronaldo Nazário (president of Real Valladolid and partner-owner of Cruzeiro), Javier Tebas (president of LaLiga), Miguel Ángel Gil Marin (Atlético de Madrid), Edson Crevecour (Miami Heat ) among other big names in the market.

In the interview, Fernando tells us that this will be the first of many meetings that will take place in Brazil, without ceasing to be held in other Latin American countries, since Brazil has unique characteristics in terms of football and other sports.
