Between April 7th and 10th, São Paulo hosted another edition of BiS SiGMA Americas. The focus of this article is on the events that took place during the event, which left a positive impression, as highlighted by Rene Salviano, CEO of the Heatmap agency: “I left the event happy with what I saw.”
Rene Salviano spoke to Poder360 about his experience, highlighting that he visits the fair annually to follow the latest developments in the iGaming and sports betting sector.
This year, the regulation of betting houses in Brazil through law 14.790 of 2023 brought significant changes: “It was the 1st edition held since the official regulation of betting houses in Brazil.”
The event attracted 17,500 participants and had a more professional atmosphere. Only regulated operators participated, according to Salviano: “This filter was a turning point and showed… the first step towards professionalization.”
Brazil in focus
The environment reflected innovation, with technological stands and a renewed focus on Responsible Gaming. Brazil stood out as a global hub, attracting international visitors and consolidating its relevance in the market.
The lectures evolved, bringing meaningful content to both professionals and the general public. Rene Salviano noted the active participation of professionals from various areas: “I saw professionals… participating… seeking to better understand how this ecosystem works.”
For Rene, BiS SiGMA 2025 represented a turning point in the betting market: “An event that materialized the beginning of a new era… more transparent and, above all, professional.” Salviano also mentioned the recognition of his agency, Heatmap, competing for the award for best agency, and recognized this achievement as an indication of success in the sector.
Finally, Rene Salviano expressed an optimistic view: “My bet is that, step by step, we will have an increasingly organized market.” The event, according to him, pointed to promising steps for the Brazilian economy through more responsible practices.
