The SiGMA Group announced the postponement of its Europe event, which was planned to take place in Malta between 17 and 19 November 2020. The conference will now open its doors at the beginning of next year in February, from 16 to 18, making the first event to head the 2021 games schedule.
The decision, which was made after recent and unforeseen developments in the global health crisis, COVID-19, is in line with the advice of Malta’s health authorities and aims to ensure the safety and well-being of SiGMA participants.
SiGMA Group founder Eman Pulis commented: “SiGMA 2020 was scheduled to take place in November, invitations were sold out and we were extremely excited about this edition. However, COVID-19 had other plans, so we decided to postpone the show for another 3 months. I must send my thanks to all the exhibitors who agreed to take their participation in SiGMA with us. I look forward to the new dates and I look forward to welcoming you with open arms. “

The SiGMA Group’s priority is the health and well-being of its guests, speakers, exhibitors and employees. As such, they made the decision to move the event to 2021 – in line with the upcoming inaugural events to be launched in Asia and the Americas.
SiGMA’s long-awaited digital tour of Latin America’s emerging markets will still take place in September, taking place from 22 to 24 September, in addition to events in late October, exploring the growing Med Tech and Med Cann industries.
SiGMA Europe (February), which will now take place alongside SiGMA Asia (May 2021), SiGMA Americas (September 2021), and SiGMA Europe in November 2021, will open its doors to industry in Ta ‘Qali, with the venue original, the MFCC, still confirmed. Thanks to the regulatory body, MGA, Malta is Europe’s premier site for iGaming, maintaining its reputation as an iGaming hub and offering undeniable benefits for gaming companies looking to establish a foundation in this forward-looking jurisdiction.
SiGMA Europe will also host leading brands and individuals from the converging sectors of AI, blockchain, IoT, Quantum Tech and other emerging technologies to discuss and shape the future.
Several programs became evident that opportunities, particularly in investment and development, were emerging as a result of cross-pollination between the gaming and emerging technology sectors. As such, SiGMA decided to merge these two main brands under one roof, bringing AIBC to the SiGMA family with the launch of a super show in February 2021.
Combining an exhibition for world-class exhibitors, a start-up village for new businesses and an agenda of very popular conferences and workshops, the summit offers a platform for the industry as it shapes the sector’s future.
