Caesars and RSI appear among 18 betting companies on the final list of Arizona licensees

The Arizona Department of Gaming (ADG) finalized the allocation of bookmakers’ licenses ahead of the state’s September 9 sports betting launch. In total, 10 tribal gaming licenses were awarded to operators, including the Hualapai Tribe in conjunction with Golden Nugget, the Apache Tonto Tribe in association with Churchill Downs Incorporated and the Apache San Carlos Tribe in partnership with WynnBet.

Eight sports teams also received licenses. Among them were the MLB team, the Arizona Diamondbacks, which partnered with Caesars / William Hill, and the Arizona Rattlers of the Arena Football League in conjunction with Rush Street Interactive (RSI).

Phoenix Mercury of the WNBA is working with Bally’s Corporation, and Phoenix Speedway has partnered with Penn National Gaming. These partnerships were joined by BetMGM, DraftKings and FanDuel, who announced their entry into the Arizona market last week.

Fantasy sports betting is already active in Arizona and licensed operators include DraftKings, FanDuel, FFPC, Yahoo, Fantasy Sports Shark and Underdog Sports.


Arizona Department Director Explained Rule Creation Process

Arizona Gaming Department Director Ted Vogt explained, “During the process of creating event betting rules, the Department has prioritized getting as much public and stakeholder comment as possible, especially on aspects such as the allocation of licenses.

Vogt added: “The allocation decision we announced is a direct result of these efforts, helping to ensure the fairness and fairness of the process for all candidates.”

Caesars to launch baseball stadium betting app and service

In addition to its partnership with Arizona Diamondbacks, Caesars announced the launch of its Caesars Sportsbook app in Arizona. A Caesars temporary betting service will open at Diamondbacks’ Chase Field, making it the first baseball stadium to feature this attraction.
