Two casinos in Louisiana are now accepting face-to-face sports betting. Harrah’s New Orleans and Horseshoe Bossier City Hotel and Casino, both part of Caesars Entertainment, have begun accepting face-to-face sports betting through the ‘Caesars Sportsbook’.
The event was celebrated with the simultaneous hosting of first-rate betting events at sports bookmakers within Harrah’s and Horseshow.
In New Orleans, former New Orleans Saints quarterback Bobby Herbert made the first ceremonial bet to benefit the Second Harvest Food Bank. At the same time, Mayor Tommy Chandler cut the ribbon to start betting on Bossier City.
Mobile sports betting is still pending regulatory approval in the state.
Dan Real, Regional President of Caesars Entertainment, commented, “Caesars is proud of our commitment to Louisiana and the entire Gulf Coast region. Today has been a historic one for us as a company and we are excited to open our new Caesars Sportsbook facility in Harrah’s New Orleans and Horseshoe Bossier City to honor the legacy these properties have in the region.”
“We can’t wait to present all that sports betting has to offer sports fans as we share our emphasis on responsible gaming,” concludes Real.
Eric Hession, Co-Chair of Caesars Digital, added: “We are excited to bring sportsbook to our valued customers in Louisiana. The launch of our sportsbook at Harrah’s and Horseshoe is just the beginning.
