Since inception, the Foundation has raised over $100 million and supported over 1,500 charitable organizations

The MGM Resorts Foundation has provided nearly $2 million in the form of 82 grants to non-profit organizations located in American communities in which MGM Resorts operates.

This includes southern Nevada, Michigan, Mississippi, New Jersey, New York, northeast Ohio, the DC metropolitan area, and western Massachusetts. Funding was awarded to organizations that provide basic necessities services to local residents.

“Year after year we have been amazed at the generosity of our employees and now guests,” said Maria Jose Gatti, Executive Director of Community Engagement at MGM Resorts International. “In 2022, MGM Resorts employees donated to 82 nonprofits that serve the communities where we live and work.”

“On behalf of our grantees, thank you to those who have donated to the Community Grant Fund, providing vital assistance to our communities, including medical care, mental health counseling, food and shelter.”

The funds are the result of contributions made to the Community Grant Fund by employees and guests of MGM Resorts, with grant decisions made by the company’s Community Grant Councils, a voluntary committee of employees representing their respective regions.

Created in 2002, the MGM Resorts Foundation has supported 1500 charities

“The MGM Resorts Foundation was created in 2002 as an opportunity for MGM Resorts employees to contribute to important charitable causes,” reads a statement from the group. “Since inception, the foundation has raised over $100 million and supported over 1,500 charitable organizations.”

“MGM Resorts is committed to strengthening the livelihoods, capacity and resilience of communities, developing sustainable institutions, supporting good jobs, promoting next generation skills development and collaborating with the public sector, policymakers, educators and non-profit organizations”, says the official note.
