Sportradar won a tender for the Men’s Association of Tennis Professionals (ATP) global data, broadcasting and betting rights, starting in 2024.
This happens after an RFP procedure run by Tennis Data Innovations (TDI). As of early 2022, the company has provided official secondary data feeds for the ATP Tour and Challenger Tour. It also has a long list of partnerships with professional sports organizations.
Five bidders participated in the process, which was initiated by TDI in January 2023 and included many detailed bid rounds for a six-year rights cycle starting in 2024. The procedure was established in 2020 after TDI was formed as a specialist joint venture entity of ATP and ATP Media, to manage all betting and data streaming products for the ATP Tour and ATP Challenger Tour.
David Lampitt, CEO of TDI, said: “We are grateful to all bidders who have shown such commitment to our content throughout the selection process. Sportradar was chosen as the best partner to meet our growth ambitions due to their combination of product capabilities, global reach and an innovative business model that has preserved our ability to share in this market’s continued growth.”
Carsten Koerl, CEO of Sportradar, said: “Our expertise in developing advanced technologies, including computer vision and AI, which create advanced analytics and data visualization, will drive new and compelling ways for fans to engage with tennis, as well as protecting and defend its integrity”.
