Partnerships between clubs and betting companies generate R$900 million in Série A in 2025

By 2025, sports betting companies have established themselves as the main sponsors of Brazilian football, reaching unprecedented levels. This year, an analysis revealed that 18 of the 20 clubs in the Brazilian Serie A have signed contracts with betting companies as their main sponsors.

These agreements generated a total of almost R$900 million. However, it is essential to highlight that Mirassol and Red Bull Bragantino were exceptions, not displaying betting brands on the ‘main part’ of their shirts.

Despite this, Mirassol signed a contract with 7K, positioning the brand in a secondary location. While Bragantino signed a contract with the bookmaker Betfast, until the end of 2026.

Among the most notable sponsorships, the contract with Corinthians stands out, estimated at R$309 million for three years, secured by Esportes da Sorte. This amount is equivalent to approximately R$103 million per year. Another significant contract is that of Palmeiras with SportingBet, which can yield up to R$170 million per year, depending on the fulfillment of certain goals.


Thiago Freitas, COO of Roc Nation Sports Brazil, explained the current situation to the newspaper Estado de S. Paulo. According to him, “We are living in a time of high competition between dozens of companies competing for space in uniforms.”

He explained that this scenario allows clubs to capture unprecedented resources, surpassing other sectors that have previously sponsored national football.

Presence of betting houses in Serie A grows 25% in two years

In recent years, the presence of bookmakers in Serie A has increased dramatically. Between 2023 and 2025, the number of clubs sponsored by these companies increased by 25%, going from 12 to 20 clubs. It is worth noting that 18 of the 20 Serie A clubs this year have master sponsorship contracts.

In particular, clubs such as Bahia, Palmeiras, Internacional and Grêmio are signing contracts of this type for the first time. In 2025, with sponsorships from betting houses alone, Serie A clubs raised R$886.3 million.

However, it is possible that this value will exceed the R$1 billion mark, since contracts with teams such as Bahia, Mirassol and Santos have not yet been publicly disclosed.

Clubs leading the million-dollar sponsorship race

Corinthians and Palmeiras are leading an intense financial dispute in sports sponsorships. Corinthians, with R$103 million annually from Esportes da Sorte, and Palmeiras, receiving up to R$170 million from SportingBet, define the main financial parameters. However, Flamengo also follows closely with R$85 million from Pixbet.

Other traditional clubs also secure significant agreements. Vasco da Gama and Atlético-MG, among others, remain competitive with significant contracts, standing out for their ability to increase values ​​as goals are achieved.

However, clubs in the North and Northeast face sponsorship challenges, receiving, on average, 44% less than teams from other regions.
