Resorts World Las Vegas said it has just acquired a 262-seat Boeing 787, which will be used on ‘private charter’ flights.

The plane is significantly larger than the first, a 12-seat Bombardier Global 6000 jet purchased in June.

The idea is that the 787 will be used for current and future luxury customers, large groups and “premium mass segments seeking exclusive travel options” as well as an alternative for large corporate and leisure groups traveling to and from Los Angeles , San Francisco, New York, Miami, Dallas and Chicago.

The jet was purchased for $25 million from Crystal Luxury Air, a division of Crystal Cruises, was built in 2017 and has the N947BA registration.

The curious history of the Boeing 787

An impressive curiosity is that the aircraft has only 15 hours of flight time, as shown in the classified for sale, available on the Aircraft website.

Its story is also interesting, having been commissioned by Royal Air Maroc, it was not delivered. Instead, it was passed on in March 2017 to Crystal, which soon sent it to desert storage and has stayed there until now.

Inside, the aircraft has a traditional configuration, with 18 seats in business class and 244 in economy. The only real difference from most 787 commercials is a lounge at the end of the business class cabin.

Other casinos that offer full-scale charter flights include MGM, Sands and Caesars, although planes are generally operated by third parties.
