The National Basketball Association (NBA) and La Française des Jeux (FDJ) – operator of France’s national lottery and one of the largest sports betting companies in the world – have announced the extension of the partnership contract in the country.
Under the agreement, ParionsSport will continue to use NBA brand and betting data in its digital and retail offerings. French league fans will have exclusive benefits and authentic experiences, including access to games in the U.S., official merchandise and products via FDJ platforms, with over 100 bets available per game.
Based on its support for the first game of the NBA regular season, as a Partner of The NBA Paris Game 2020 presented by beIN SPORTS, ParionsSport will also support future NBA games in the country.
Details of the deal between the American League and the French lottery
The arrangement provides a free-to-play forecasting experience called “NBA Pick’Em Weekly 6 presented by ParionsSport”. On the occasion, French fans have a chance to win prizes by predicting the outcome of six NBA games each week during the NBA season.

The head of sports betting at the FDJ, Richard Courtois, also spoke about the extension of the contract between the sports league and the French lottery. “We are excited to continue our partnership with the NBA, the most iconic basketball league in the world.”
Courtois also stated that “NBA is synonymous with basketball and represents the peak of the sport. With this partnership, our sports betting portfolio will gain even more visibility, with our customers and NBA fans being able to enjoy unique experiences. The partnership will be fundamental for the growth of the ParionsSport brand in the coming years ”.
BeIN SPORTS presenter Mary Patrux will continue her role as ParionsSport ambassador, providing weekly forecasts and tips on the brand’s social media channels.
In addition, the agreement will be promoted at 27,000 retail locations in France, on the ParionsSporte network and on social, digital and NBA and NBA France apps.
Growth in sports betting at La Française des Jeux
Sports betting continues to be a sector of strong growth for FDJ, representing 21% of the company’s total bets in 2019. The operator has registered an increase of more than 40% in bets on NBA games since 2019.
