Integrated resort operator and developer Las Vegas Sands has invested an undisclosed sum in US Integrity, which monitors the integrity of sports betting across a variety of sports.
While terms of the investment were not disclosed, US Integrity said the operator’s support will allow it to continue developing its regulatory technology platform.
The platform will track betting activity, allowing league bookmakers, operators and regulators to investigate and intervene in cases of fraudulent betting.
“US Integrity’s mission is to help grow the legal and regulated sports betting market by providing solutions that ensure the integrity of sports betting in every game, every game and every sport,” said Chief Executive Matthew Holt.
“Sands’ strategic investment will help us expand our capabilities and develop innovative new products and services to bring transparency and peace of mind to our growing list of customers,” added Holt.
US Integrity already works with several leagues, including the National Basketball Association, the organizers of the college competition ‘West Coast Conference’ and the ‘Big Sky Conference’. It has also partnered with operators such as PlayUp, Michigan’s FireKeepers Casino and Betfred.
Its new investor, Las Vegas Sands, has taken a more winding route in expanding the game, acting as an investor through a fund focused on B2B opportunities that launched in July of last year.
The only properties in the deal are now located in Macau, following the US$6.25bn sale of the Venetian Resort in Las Vegas – comprising The Venetian, Palazzo and Venetian Expo properties – VICI Properties and funds controlled by Apollo Global Management.
