The Women’s World Cup in Australia and New Zealand ended on the 20th of August and brought a considerable amount of movement to the Fantasy Games.

Although the Brazilian team had an early farewell in the group stage of the Women’s Cup, the dispute that culminated in the final between England and Spain broke records on and off the field.

Most Climbed Players in Fantasy Games

With the unprecedented champion Spain, the most selected players in the Fantasy game were Lindsey Horan, from the United States, followed by Aitana Bonmat and Jenni Hermoso, both from Spain.

These players played in all games until the round of 16, according to a survey by Rei do Pitaco.

As for the best average score, we have Jill Roord, from Holland, with 13.9 points, followed by Amanda Ilestedt, from Sweden, with 11,925 points and Chrestinah Kgatlana, from South Africa, with 10,225 points.

According to the Associação Brasileira de Fantasy Sports, the female audience is half among game users in general, but in the fantasy category this audience is still small.

“Events like the FIFA Cup help popularize fantasy among women. Today we already have platforms that offer women’s football leagues to players”, explains Rafael Marcondes.
