The operator Entain has signed an agreement with Chance for Childhood, a charity that supports vulnerable children who suffer from homelessness, disabilities and other problems. The partnership will be launched from a new project called ‘Change the first 1,000 Days’, which will support 600 children in Accra, Ghana.
The initiative will aim to put all children in school to ensure “that they have access and thrive through education”. The Entain Foundation and Chance for Childhood will also support 10 nursery schools in low-income neighborhoods in the city, aiming to increase the supply of professionals who can provide personalized services to help children with special needs.
The two organizations will also assist in hiring teaching assistants at all educational institutions, to solve problems and improve children’s cognitive and social development. Entain believes that the project can collaborate to facilitate access to education for children living in the poorest areas of the city of Accra.
Jette Nygaard-Andersen, Entain’s CEO, said: “The Entain Foundation was created to allow our company to contribute to society and support communities around the world. We are proud to be able to support Chance for Childhood’s invaluable work to promote a positive transformative impact on these vulnerable children. ”
Anna-mai Andrews, Co-CEO of Chance for Childhood, also officially spoke: “Chance for Childhood is absolutely delighted to join forces with the Entain Foundation and all of their incredible staff to support this critical work to transform the first 1,000 days of children living in more insecure, violent and challenging environments ”.
Entain will collaborate with charity in other actions aimed at children
In addition to the ‘Change the first 1,000 Days’ project, the betting company has said it will support Chance for Childhood in a series of other initiatives designed to help children in socially vulnerable situations.
