PointsBet will sponsor Playmaker and Playmaker Betting content throughout the NCAA March Madness tournament. The bookmaker will be the exclusive sponsor of several Playmaker March Madness initiatives including Playmaker 16, Playmaker 8 and Playmaker 4 free-to-play games.
Additionally, the company will sponsor “Playmaker On The Street” which is a digital series hosted by Dakota Wiley and filmed in many of the tournament’s locations such as Pittsburgh and New Orleans.
Brandon Harris, CEO of Playmaker, commented: “We believe betting content, like sports betting itself, should be fun. What’s more fun than following a former NBA player betting, with over half a million gamblers doing the same?”
“We think it’s a lot more engaging than old men in suits offering picks or spamming, and so far the millions of players support that theory. We’re so happy to be able to work with partners like PointsBet,” concludes Harris.
Other digital influencers such as golfer Paige Spiranac and former track and field star Taryn Tempel will partner with PointsBet content creators to produce social media content.
David Woodley, President of Playmaker, said: “We are thrilled to bring PointsBet as a partner. Both brands enjoy celebrating and promoting the community around sports betting, while also focusing on education and responsible gaming, this campaign is providing a good mix of what we have to offer at Playmaker including: video, social, free games, talent, distribution and aligns well with PointsBet’s ever-growing presence in the betting industry.”
