With the start of betting operations in Paraná getting closer and with some concessionaires already in the integration phase with Lottopar‘s management platform and payment methods, this notification measure aims to guarantee the legal security of lottery operations in the state and also bring more security to bettors.
As a result, unauthorized sites are aware that as soon as the operations of authorized companies begin, they will be operating illegally and irregularly and will not be able to continue offering bets in the jurisdiction of Paraná.
While around 350 sites that offer betting services in Brazil and also in Paraná will receive this notification.
“A market that operated for many years without rules, in a gray area and without regulation, with a large part of the resources staying outside Brazil, now has the opportunity to operate in a legalized environment. Offering more security for bettors, job creation, transparency and with part of the resources being invested in public security, housing and social actions”, stated the CEO of Lottopar, Daniel Romanowski.
“We cannot allow illegals to continue offering betting services in a regulated environment such as Paraná. This is just the first step among many other actions and partnerships to come to combat illegal gambling”, he added.
Identification of websites
Therefore, bettors from Paraná will be able to easily distinguish an authorized website from an illegal website using a verification seal.
The Authorized Site and Authorized App seal are mandatory for both the website and the equipment of companies authorized to operate in Paraná.
With this seal, the bettor knows that he is accessing the website of a regulated, legalized and authorized company to operate in Paraná. Or even that the equipment used by lottery companies is duly registered and verified by Lottopar, a joint effort developed together with testing and certification laboratories.
