Super Sete, the newest lottery betting contest from Caixa Econômica Federal, can generate an increase of about 1 billion reais annually in the collection, increasing the amount of lottery funds transferred to social projects managed by the institution.
The increase is expected by the Secretariat for Evaluation, Planning, Energy and Lottery (Secap). Nowadays, around 40% of the funds obtained through lotteries are transferred to education, health, social security, sports, culture and public security programs.
“Almost half of the collection of lotteries is passed on to social areas. With this new bet option, it is expected to increase investments in these sectors”, said the president of the National Federation of Caixa Personnel Associations (Fenae), Sérgio Takemoto.
Also according to the president, Fenae, lotteries are a source of vitally important resources for Brazil. “In addition to fulfilling the gamblers dream, they finance national development”, says Takemoto.
Last year, lotteries reached 16.7 billion reais. And only in the first three months of this year, the collection reached 4 billion reais.
Of this amount, around R $ 1.5 billion was sent to Federal Government social actions in priority sectors. The FIES (Student Financing Program), for example, received R $ 148.2 thousand, from January to May.
Super Sete draw details
Super Sete will have the same amount of revenue as Mega-Sena, Quinta, Lotofácil, among others. Of the amount obtained at each draw, 43.35% is passed on to prizes and payments of taxes. Another 37.52% goes to social projects and 19.13% is reserved to pay costs and maintain services.
In addition, the new lottery category is part of the “numerical forecast”. That is, the bettor seeks to guess the dozens drawn. Therefore, games can be played at lottery agencies across the country.
The ticket has seven tens with numbers from 0 to 9. Therefore, the person must mark at least one number in each of the columns and up to three numbers. The prize is awarded to those who guess three to seven columns, regardless of the order.
