The online bookmaker, PlayUp has officially partnered with the New Jersey Devils and Prudential Center, a team that disputes the National Hockey League, the NHL.
The recently signed contract will have a long-term duration and grant a fixed activation place for the company within the arena of the sports team called “PlayUp Sports Lounge”.
PlayUp expands operations in the United States with new licenses
The Devils became the company’s first professional sports partnership in the United States. In addition, the bookmaker secured the license to operate in New Jersey, achieving the second license in the American market after the recent license acquisition in the state of Colorado.
“We are excited about the agreement with the New Jersey Devils and Prudential Center as our first partnership with US sports teams,” said the company’s CEO in the North American territory, Laila Mintas.
She added: “Our sports betting app for mobile devices will be live soon at Garden State. So getting New Jersey sports fans involved is extremely important to us. ”
Laila Mintas also stated that the agreement differs due to the focus on digital and offers the company opportunities to connect with fans of the NHL team. “We were impressed by the off-season success with innovative team content and we couldn’t be happier to join them this historic season.”
Adam Cross, senior vice president of corporate partnerships at Harris Blitzer Sports & Entertainment, also commented on the arrangement. “PlayUp is a partner that shares our commitment to providing digital and progressive experiences for each fan”.
