Caixa Lotteries announced another new feature to encourage players. From now on, Quina will have a new way of distributing prizes, with a fraction of the collection being reserved for final 5 drawings. This change allows the category to provide bigger prizes more regularly.
Due to the new way of apportioning prize amounts, the percentage for the main prize will remain at 35%, with the exception of the final 5 contests, which in addition to this percentage, will also receive 15% of the proceeds from each of the previous draws (finals of 0 to 4 and from 6 to 9).

The modification of the rule takes effect in the first draw of November, which will take place this Wednesday, 3rd, contest 5696. This Monday, November 1st, Quina will not be given an exceptional draw, as well as on the Holiday for the Dead.
In addition, the prize reserve for certain regulatory competitions began to be adopted by Mega-Sena in 1996, when it was developed to replace Sena. The new category quickly gained popularity due to multi-million awards.
At Mega-Sena, there is a reserve of 22% of the amount dedicated to awarding prizes in the 0 and 5 final contests. The standard is also used in other categories of the Caixa Lotteries: Lotofácil (final 0 contests); Timemania (0 and 5) and Lotteca (0 and 5).

Remembering that the biggest prizes in the category are from the special editions of São João, reaching R$ 204.8 million this year.
