An event to mark the reunion of the world’s lottery industry, sports betting, affiliate market and casinos in the biggest city in Brazil. On December 1st and 2nd, São Paulo will host the first edition of the Brazilian iGaming Summit (BiS) – The iGaming Intelligence Made in Brazil.
BiS will take place at Espaço Boulevard JK, located in the International Plaza Building. In a hybrid format, the event will feature powerful networking, lectures, panels and a structure totally focused on the experience of the participants.
The conference will receive relevant personalities from the global betting market, meeting in person and via the internet. After all, BiS will be the only event on the betting sector to take place in the country this year, involving national and international companies.

Luiz Felipe Maia assesses the progress of betting regulations in the country
Very active in the sector, Luiz Felipe Maia also analyzed the betting regulation process in Brazil. “The last two years had relevant events for the process of defining the regulatory framework for gambling and betting in Brazil: the decisions of the Supreme Court on the inexistence of a federal monopoly for the operation of lotteries, which resulted in the opening of the market for state lotteries” .
He continued: “as well as the decision on the basis for calculating the taxation of bets; the creation of a working group to review PL 442/91 in the Chamber of Deputies’ Tourism Committee and the progress of work at SECAP on regulation fixed-quote lottery (sports betting). I believe that the next year will be full of concrete business opportunities in the country”.
According to Maia, the betting convention should collaborate with groups that are planning to invest in the Brazilian market in the short and medium term. “Events such as BiS present themselves as a concrete opportunity for companies interested in entering the market to be regulated to demonstrate their interest to Brazilian regulators through their massive and qualified presence”, he concluded.
