Palmeiras announced the launch of $VERDAO, official fan token of the three-time champion of America. In partnership with Chiliz, a sports digital asset provider, the token will soon be launched on the club’s and Socios.com platforms.
With the fan token, Verdão fans can also get involved in the club’s daily life by participating in polls published on Socios.com on various subjects, which may include product design, numbering of athletes’ shirts, music, messages and much more. Anyone who buys $VERDAO will also have the opportunity to earn exclusive and collectible Palmeiras rewards.
All information about the date and time of the official launch of the Palmeiras fan token and the first poll to be answered by the fans after the purchase of the asset will be announced in the coming days.
“This is another great partnership that we established for Palmeiras, which will further increase the engagement of the fans in Brazil and in the world. In addition to being an important and new source of revenue, we believe that fan tokens will increase the digital connection with our fans. After a very careful analysis process, we are happy to announce Socios.com as the newest partner of Palmeiras”, said President Maurício Galiotte.
“We are very pleased to sign this partnership with Palmeiras, one of the most successful clubs in Brazil and Latin America. Joining Palmeiras is part of our expansion footprint in the country, the world capital of the passion for football”, said the CEO of Chiliz and Socios.com, Alexandre Dreyfus.
Dreyfus added: “Furthermore, it means we have partnered with three of the top four teams in this year’s Conmebol Libertadores, which proves our absolute leadership on the continent. We will continue to strengthen this leadership and strategy in the coming months.”
