The bill to legalize betting in Brazil was approved by the Chamber of Deputies. The plenary of the House rejected the highlights of the bill, which allows the practice of casinos, bingos and animal games (PL 442/91). The news had international repercussions and was celebrated by all players involved in the national gaming market, such as Pay4Fun.
In an exclusive video for iGaming Brazil, Pay4Fun CEO Leonardo Baptista reinforced that he is ‘extremely happy’ with this first step aimed at consolidating a regulated gambling market in the country.
“What about regulation? Finally!! I’m extremely happy as an individual, I think it’s putting an end to a lot of hypocrisy for years and years on end. Regarding legal entities, for Pay4Fun, it is the best that can happen”, he declared.
In addition, Leonardo stressed that the legalization of betting comes to benefit companies that already act correctly. “Pay4Fun sees that for those who already work correctly and transparently, regulation only benefits. We are extremely happy and looking forward to the next steps”, he stressed.
Pay4Fun CEO expects speedy passage of the bill in the Senate
Now, the bill goes to the Senate for analysis. “We believe that now that it has been passed, the bill should go very quickly to the Senate, we hope, a very quick approval as well,” said the company’s CEO.
According to the executive, Pay4Fun is also ready to operate with all the processes and tools that the Central Bank provides to avoid irregularities and promote responsible gambling.
“Pay4Fun is ready with all the systems and everything that the Central Bank offers to operate correctly with regard to money laundering prevention, tracking, values, gambling, control and all that. Pay4Fun is prepared and eager to operate in the regulated market”, concluded Baptista.
