Genius Sports Limited, the official data, technology and broadcast partner that powers the ecosystem that connects sports, betting and media, has been selected as the Official Data Partner of A-League Men’s (ALM) and Liberty A-League Women (ALW) ) for the 2022-23 season as part of a comprehensive new partnership with the Australian Pro Leagues (APL).
This partnership will help protect Australian football from the threats of match-fixing and betting-related corruption through Genius Sports’ 24/7 betting monitoring technology and bespoke educational services.
By crossing real-time odds movements with predictive algorithms, Genius Sports’ monitoring system will provide crucial visibility into global A-Leagues betting and automatically flag potentially suspicious activity.
Under the agreement, Genius Sports was granted the exclusive rights to capture, manage and distribute official data from each A-Leagues match and distribute it to its global network of sports betting partners. Genius Sports is the official data and integrity partner for some of the biggest leagues in world sport, including the NFL and the English Premier League.

Michael Tange, Director of Strategy and Digital at APL, said: “Genius Sports is a global leader in data and integrity services and we are delighted to build this partnership with them. The data supports the Australian Pro Leagues’ strategy to make football Australia’s most fun sport.”
John Curzon, Head of Australasia, Sportstech at Genius Sports, added: “Australian football is expanding rapidly with participation, engagement and broadcast numbers all showing exciting growth in recent years in a phase of its global expansion, connecting football Australian with millions of fans worldwide as its exclusive official data partner.”
