Amazon-owned streaming platform Twitch has announced that it is expanding its ban on live streaming of gambling content to include online casinos Blaze and Gamdom.

Last year, Twitch announced it would ban all content streams from four betting sites as part of its new betting policy.

The measure was taken after banning requests amid a controversy that involved a streamer accused of applying blows to users alongside other content creators.

The alleged scammer – popular streamer ‘Sliker‘ – has been accused of swindling his followers and fellow content creators out of $200,000 to fund his gambling addiction.

As a result, Twitch implemented a new gambling policy which stated that the company would prohibit “streaming from gambling sites that include slot machines, roulette or craps”.

However, this wasn’t a blanket ban on all gambling-related content on the platform, with the company even naming four specific domains that would be banned.

The new updated list of banned gambling sites includes:

  • Stake.com
  • Duelbits.com
  • Rollbit.com
  • Roobit.com
  • Blaze.com
  • Gamdom.com

Twitch claimed that gambling audiences dropped by about 75% after it implemented the new policy in October last year.

However, the company added that it has also “observed some new trends” and will now update its policy to better protect users.

Company policy also prohibits sharing links or referral codes to sites that include slot machines, roulette or craps games.

It allows streaming of content, links and referral codes for sites that focus on sports betting, fantasy sports and poker.

CS:GO betting sponsorships were also banned

Twitch has quietly banned sponsorship of skins and betting, as with CS:GO skins.

Skins are extremely famous in CS:GO.

While the practice was technically a violation of its content guidelines, the platform never directly addressed the promotion and sponsorship of CS:GO betting sites.

However, it has now added specific language to its prohibited gambling FAQ section, stating:

“Promotion or sponsorship of skins betting is prohibited per our policy.”

In a statement, Twitch said, “There has been renewed interest in CSGO play broadly, so we’ve added clarifying language to our FAQs to make it clear that promotion/sponsorship is not permitted on our service.”
