The historic agreement between the CBF and the bookmaker was made official last Friday (12), at an event held at the entity’s headquarters. This is the largest naming rights contract in the tournament’s history.

In addition, Betano also holds the naming rights for the Copa do Brasil, Série B and the Supercopa Feminina.

Brasileirão Betano starts with lots of news

The announcement was attended by big names in football, such as Preto Casagrande and Leandro Ávila, former players from Vitória and Palmeiras, respectively, as well as Betano executives. The former athletes were invited to comment on the duel between the champion teams of the two main national divisions.

Therefore, the Brasileirão Betano promises to be an exciting competition. Last year, the championship achieved historic attendance figures, with an average of 26,519 spectators per match, surpassing the record set in 1983, with 22,953 per match.

This year, of the 20 participating teams, 13 have already been national champions, demonstrating the high level of competitiveness of the competition.

“Brazil’s iconic national football league will be known as Brasileirão Betano and that is very special. The quality of the Brazilian Série A has reached a whole new level in recent years. So it is no coincidence that a Brazilian team always wins the Copa Libertadores over the last five years”, said Tomasz Majewski, Head of Sponsorships at Betano.

Thus, the partnership between the company and CBF will bring news for football fans:

  • The best player in each match will receive the Craque Betano trophy, in a popular vote
